Welcome to Rutherford

Welcome to Rutherford – one of Northern New Jersey’s most wonderful downtowns.
Rutherford’s Downtown is a charming, historical business district complete with brick sidewalks, period lampposts, landscaping and restored facades on many of its traditional storefronts. The district is home to a special array of retail, service and professional businesses that meet every individual’s needs.

Gift stores are stocked with an assortment of surprises, collectibles and delights. Restaurants, coffee shops, pizzerias and cafes offer the cuisine of most areas of the world, while well-stocked local wine and liquor stores complete the dining experience. Rutherford has a unique “bring your own” dining experience that will delight and enchant.

Entertainment can be found at the Williams Center for the Performing Arts with first run movies and special performances, 12 Miles West Theatre also offers live theatre performances and several local restaurants provide live musical entertainment.

Downtown Rutherford’s business community is complemented by a wide range of service and professionals, accountants, finance planners, banks, advertising and marketing firms, photographers and graphic artists, computer specialists, attorneys and insurance agents, architects, engineers, planners, contractors, real estate firms, building management and maintenance firms, and others.
